The Boston HelpDesk's proactive maintenance visit is vital to ensuring minimum downtime and maximum productivity from your information technology.

A network specialist makes regular onsite visits and runs through predetermined checks to ensure your systems are operating at their expected level. These checks are customized to match your company's computing environment. This visit allows us to catch potential or stop minor problems before they impact the organization.

Our Proactive Maintenance Visit Checklist Includes:

Operating Systems, Applications Data & System Backup

• Check for latest updates and patches
• Check for application & system errors
• Ensure proper services are running
• Perform spyware/malware cleanup

File & Disk System

• Check hard disks for errors and file fragmentation
• Monitor disk space & cleanup
• Check RAID array status

Data & System Backup

• Check logs to ensure successful backup activity
• Check schedule to insure all jobs are scheduled and configured
• Clean tape drive unit

Security

• Check anti-virus system is operational & signatures are up-to-date
• Check logs for virus detection and other activity
• Ensure compliance with all security regulations
• Ensure proper battery backup and power surge conditions
• Maintain disaster recovery components
• Monitor security logs
